Friday Favorite Finds

Finding Joy in My Kitchen has a Friday linky, titled Friday Favorite Finds where we get the opportunity to share some of those wonderful recipes, we see during the week. 

I have fun, traveling from blog to blog, finding recipes to make and admiring some of the photos, I see.  The winning combination is the beautiful photo with the recipe that fits my family's "wants."  If anything is proven, it is that pretty presentation attracts us and entices us to make the dish.

After all that, I wish, I had an eye for attractive presentation, in setting up for photos.  It is frustrating to cook something that is super-delicious and not be able to make it so it calls your name.

Sigh.  I love cooking and blogging so I don't let it get in my way.  I do keep attempting to improve.

Travel back with me to see what I found, this past week.

Turkey Rice Porridge from Roti n Rice.  You have to admit that turkey rice porridge does not necessarily make you think of a stunning picture but we have it here.  What great presentation.

Mexican Hot Chocolate is tempting me to go to the kitchen and make a warming cup.  Cold weather has definitely set in.  This is from My Creative Flavors.

With my hot chocolate, I want to have this  Egg-Wrapped Quinoa Salad from Teczcape - an escape to food.  I have admired this blog, for quite a while and if you like rice, you can find recipes and a cookbook of interest.

I don't have squash or I would be cooking this, right now.  This is 

Butternut squash chili with quinoa from Peaches and Donuts.  With a blog name, like that, there can only be good food there.
