Chocolate Sauce (nice and easy)
Yield: 2 cups
2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 to 3 tablespoons flavored liqueur or 1/2 teaspoon flavored extract (optional)
Directions:
COMBINE morsels, cream and corn syrup in large microwave-safe bowl.
MICROWAVE uncovered on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; STIR. If necessary, microwave at additional 20- to 30-second intervals, stirring until morsels are melted and sauce is smooth. Add liqueur or extract; mix well.
SERVE warm as a dipping sauce for fresh fruit or spoon over ice cream or cake. Store remaining sauce tightly covered in refrigerator. Makes about 2 cups.

Faith of Thought for Food was kind enough to give me the Kreative Blogger Award. Faith has a beautiful blog with recipes, you will very likely want to make. She and Brandy from Nutmeg Nanny host the All Through the Year Cheer which you will find here. Go on over and join in the fun.
Part of All Through the Year is celebrating Chanukah, here, in Sweet and Savory Says it All. We will be having a giveaway, starting in a few days so please come back and maybe you will be the winner.
Back to the award. With the award comes a list about me although I am simply not that interesting.
I am a wife, mother, sister and grandmother. I have been blessed with close to 20 grandchildren. Needless to say, I am thankful.
I used to be a school principal but opted to go back to the classroom after 20 years.
I am absolutely not a crafty person and you see in my lack of cake decoration.
When I was a kid (5th grade) I wanted to be a writer. That idea disappeared quickly.
Many of you know that my husband has celiac but you may not know that I enjoy cooking gluten free for him.
Most of you know that I bake for my class. Recently, I baked a cookie and they loved it so much that more than half the class baked it at home. That is a first, a class asking for a recipe.
My goal as a teacher is to reach every child and help them find their potential.
I am fortunate to be able to pass this award on to some very special bloggers. In some way, each has become part of my blogging life and I thank them.
Veggie Girl - my inspiration....I want her maturity.
Kim of Stirring the Pot - good humored and warm
Amanda of Amanda's Cookin - always knows what to say
Donna from My Tasty Kitchen - Oh dear, I am blushing....go look.
Martha of Martha's Menagerie who is always helpful
Sno White of Finding Joy in My Kitchen who is always sharing her joy.
Red Kathy from Are You Hungry a woman dedicated to her family
You are all very different and you are all great women.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Thank you so much for this award. I do love your blog, I'm sure you are aware. After reading your "about me" list, I discovered we have an unknown that is in sync... Education! I serve on our church's board of education, as the chairperson. I too work, through policy, to ensure our students have the opportunities to discover and work to their full potential. You sound just like our principal, she loves to teach and won't give it up!
ReplyDeleteI'm picturing that luscious chocolate sauce on profiteroles.
